Gardline Limited is seeking to recruit an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support the geotechnical survey and consultancy teams.

You will be responsible for offshore and onshore geotechnical project data and sample collection, laboratory testing and reporting of findings.

Whist offshore, the Geotechnical engineer will be required to carry out offshore geotechnical activities in line with industry accepted standards and Gardline principles, along with following instruction from the party chief/OPM.

The geotechnical engineer will be expected to acquire and process high quality geotechnical data and will undertake basic offshore laboratory testing and soil and rock testing. The production of factual geotechnical reports will be required while working in the field.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised BSc degree or equivalent in Geotechnics or civil engineering and will have experience working with geotechnical data, quality control and processing of CPT data along with good technical report writing skills and a basic understanding of laboratory testing.

A good knowledge of the software including gINT, ArcView, GlobalMapper is also preferable for this role. The candidate will also be familiar with GIS, Geodetics and basic map work.

This role requires you to spend periods at sea as well as periods in   the office. Full training will be provided. You will also be required to pass appropriate medical and survival course upon joining us
