We require a highly motivated, pro-active and committed individual to join the Research and Development Department of Gardline Limited, based at our Head Office in Great Yarmouth whose purpose would be to support the geophysical, geotechnical and environmental electronic product and service development throughout the project life cycle.

The successful candidate will be required to interact with the head of R&D and other departments as required to ensure the products developed are aligned with the business needs. The candidate will need to be an highly competent in at least one programming language and comfortable with both PC programming and embedded programming and circuit design. They will be expected to liaise, organise and work with the R&D team to develop, maintain and expand the future products and services Gardline offer.

Although not essential the ideal candidate for this new and challenging role will have experience of developing new concepts in geophysical, geotechnical or environmental electronics from concept to delivery. The candidate ideally should have some experience previously using or developing geophysical, geotechnical or environmental survey systems & sensors. The successful candidate should also have a good understanding of the offshore survey market.

The R&D Development Electronic Engineer should be educated ideally to degree level or possess an equivalent qualifications or portfolio of projects. The R&D engineer should be able to present examples of previous work and discuss them with regards to their scope, complexity and involvement. The candidate should be able to demonstrate examples of development in a relevant discipline. The candidate must also be fluent in all Microsoft Office based packages & at least one programming suite/language.
