Gardline Environmental Limited (GEL) is a member of the Gardline Marine Sciences Limited Group of Companies and is a successful Environmental contractor conducting major integrated offshore projects on a worldwide basis and inshore projects for major clients in the UK and overseas.

The Data Processors quality check, analyse and chart hydrographic survey data received from field projects within the Nearshore Surveying Department of Gardline Environmental Limited. They assist the Charting & Reporting Manager to issue the final deliverables to our clients, ensuring that data are accurate, correct and fit for purpose.

As an Assistant Data Processor, your main responsibilities within the role will be to collate data related to hydrographic survey work for particular projects and organise paper and electronic records as well as QC and analyses data using appropriate software (such as AutoCad and AutoChart), for which training will be given where required.

You will produce draft and final charts of the reviewed data and maintain quality control records for reporting and report production as required by the company Quality System. You may also quote/pre-project contract support and carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

The successful candidate will have an Honours degree in relevant subject and previous experience of QC and data analysis of large data sheets. Working knowledge of relevant charting and processing software packages would be an advantage, but is not essential. You must also have experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.

You will be a keen problem solver with good attention to details and have the ability to work unsupervised as well as being a good team player.

Subject to completion of a satisfactory probation period, this is a permanent position
