Gardline Commissions Reconfiguration of 20m Crew Transfer Vessels

By - 22/04/2015 11:16

Gardline are pleased to announce plans to reconfigure and refurbish two of our 20m crewtransfer vessels. Following the work, the vessels’ foredeck will be extended by 2.2 metersand a two tier wheelhouse will be added allowing for greater visibility as well as capacity foran increased cargo height of 3m. Both vessels will be launched Q4 2015.

The re-launched vessels will benefit from a complete internal refurbishment and will be putinto Bureau Veritas class. To compensate for the additional deadweight “Z” bows will befitted which will increase the volume, allowing for more foredeck carrying capacity, as well asincreasing the waterline length leading to a better longitudinal wave profile and in turnreducing resistance. Ultimately, this will result in much improved fuel efficiency for ourclients.

Established in 2008 Gardline’s Coastal Services department has consistently been at theforefront of wind farm support vessels in the burgeoning offshore wind industry. The lasteight years have seen us go from strength to strength and we look forward to seeing thesenew vessels capitalise on our existing market position.
